Each country has its own laws

Around the world, there are differences in local laws regarding pornography. As long as the pornography features actors over a specific age (typically her 18), the production and distribution of pornographic films are ilegal in many, but not all countries.

India

In India, the sale and distribution of pornographic material is illegal under section 292. The distribution, sale, or distribution of obscene material and the sale of pornographic content to anyone under the age of 20 is illegal under Section 293 and IT Code-67B. Child pornography is illegal and strictly prohibited nationwide under Section 67B of the Information Technology Act 2000. In India, the manufacture, publication and distribution of pornography is illegal under Sections 292 and 293.

United States

In the United States, pornography is not illegal at the federal level, but is subject to the Mirror Test formulated in Miller v. California in 1973. The mirror test was an attempt to distinguish between pornography and “obscenity.” It has three parts. whether “ordinary people applying modern community standards” would find the work as a whole to be sexually appealing; regardless of whether the work depicts or describes in a manner that is clearly offensive to sexual acts specifically defined under applicable state law.

United Kingdom

In England and Wales, the main laws relating to pornographic material are the Obscene Publishing Act 1959, the Obscene Publishing Act 1964 and the Obscene Representations (Regulation) Act 1981.
